Mowisaht, Ernie Smith was born in Campbell River. He is of Ehattesaht Nuu-chah-nulth and We Wai Kai Kwakwaka’wakw descent.

Mowisaht is a skilled Goldsmith who spends most of his days creating jewelry in his studio located in Ehattesaht territory.

Mowisaht had the opportunity to be both a Student and an Instructor of this art form at North Island College’s Metal Jewelry Program.
